JIMMY EAT WORLD
エモの代表扱いされることが多いバンド。エモってジャンルすら知らなかった私が試聴してすぐに買ってしまうほど、耳に残るメロディを持ってます。未体験の人は聴いて損のないバンドだと思います。
２００４年発表のメジャー４枚目。パンク色がほとんど消えてしまい、ハードな音になった印象。と言っても、サビのメロディはJIMMY EAT WORLDそのものです。全体的にメジャー感が強くなったと思います。７曲目は名盤「Clarity」の雰囲気に近い曲だと感じました。
⑥Pain
１９９９年発表のこのアルバムは本当に名盤。少なくとも私は試聴しただけで気に入りました。エモーショナルでメロディアスな曲が並びます。メタルしか聴かない友人に貸しても「結構いいね」という反応が返ってきました。本当に長く楽しめる良いアルバムなので、是非聴いてください。
２００１年発表のアルバム。確か「Bleed American」ってタイトルだったと思うけど、いつの間にか「Jimmy Eat World」に変わったみたいです。ポップさは前作「Clarity」の方が上だと思いますが、このアルバムもおすすめです。特に５曲目は名曲です。
