ロック界の異端児、初ベストアルバム。このアルバムに関しては限定盤に付いてるビデオクリップが詰まったDVDが目的で買いました。音楽的には１９９６年の３枚目“Antichrist Superstar”が頂点だったと思っていますが、ビデオクリップを観てから聴き直すと最近のアルバムの曲にも新たな魅力を発見できます。どのビデオクリップも淫らで妖しいので必見です。MARILYN MANSONがどんな人か興味がある人は入り口がブレア・ウィッチ・プロジェクトのパロディになっているオフィシャルサイトをチェック。

メロディック・パワー・メタルバンドの４枚目。今年２月にIRON MAIDENのオープニングアクトとして来日した時に観ましたが、ライブも中々良かったです。この手のバンドの中では、唯一アルバムが出る度に聴いてます。今回のアルバムも速い曲はやっぱり気持ちいいのですが、ミドルテンポの曲も悪くないです。個人的には８曲目“Wildfire”が気に入りました。

BOWLING FOR SOUP
ポップロックバンドの４枚目。BUTCH WALKER、SUGAR RAY、SR-71らと共作したらしく、かなりポップで楽しいアルバム。BUSTED辺りのポップなロックが好きな人におすすめ。ところで、余計なお世話かも知れませんが、メンバーの一人はかなり太っていてやばいと思う。オフィシャルサイトでチェックしてみてください。

RAMMSTEIN
ドイツのインダストリアル・ヘヴィロックバンドの５枚目。ヴォーカルがドイツ語なので、他のバンドとは違った感触が楽しめます。音や雰囲気は重厚ですが、ライブでは火を噴いたりするらしいです。FEAR FACTORY辺りが好きな人におすすめ。
